As of December 2nd, Bitbloom is 4 years old! And so much has happened to help us grow and get to this exciting point in our story.

Good things come in threes, and so the story of Bitbloom starts with Philip, Michael, and Staffan. Coming from different complementary fields, with backgrounds in simulation, software, and analysis, a joint discussion helped them realize that they were interested in creating the same tools to address a clear void and frustration in the field. By rejecting the black-box approach, they realised they could do something better with open-box solutions. And so Bitbloom was born with a laser focus on building a software platform to leverage deep industry expertise for the improved performance of green energy production.

Bitbloom’s novel approach empowers wind farm owners and operators to squeeze every bit of value from their data through agility, explainability, and scalability. What sets Bitbloom apart is our unique products which allow a novel degree of customization and champion joint expertise through an open approach.

After collaborating closely from the early days, last year Bitbloom was thrilled to further deepen our relationship with PNE and for the opportunity to speed up the development of our platform.

In time for its 4th birthday, Bitbloom has now more than quadrupled to a presence of thirteen. And we are still growing, with an international set up that brings together the best people from diverse fields and talents with shared values and vision. Although Bitbloom is still a small team, we have big ideas and bring together more than 50 years combined wind industry experience. We’ve launched both a new monitoring product & service: Sift Monitor and X-Ray, which together are providing performance excellence for 5GW of wind and solar assets.

With this next stage of growth in the team, and continued product development, we are delighted to be opening up our largest office yet in Glasgow. Creating a strong homebase in Scotland is in line with the exciting developments in renewables and local talent pool, so we can continue to shape and sharpen the industry. In establishing this physical space we are building a company culture that celebrates collaboration, conversation and connections. Through fostering discussions as a team, where we encourage and support colleagues to come to work as their whole selves, we help turn better into best, and continue to drive excellence and innovation.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new office in the new year!
