Staffan Lindahl
Co-FOUNDER
Staffan is an experienced engineering consultant and expert in data analytics for operational renewable energy plant, particularly wind power. His career in the wind industry started in Garrad Hassan (later DNV) in 2006, leading the service delivery and development of methods, processes and software tools for wind farm operational analytics, post-construction yield assessments and optimisation. With an extensive industry network and in-depth understanding of the opportunities that digital technology offers, Staffan leads our data-driven technical consulting services and ensures we deliver value for our customers in everything we do.
Staffan founded Lindahl Ltd. in 2016 after working for 10 years in renewables sector and in 2019 founded Bitbloom with Michael and Philip.
Philip Bradstock
Co-FOUNDER
Philip is an experienced developer of scientific software and algorithms. He spent more than six years developing simulation models in Bladed (market leading aeroelastic simulation for wind turbines) at Garrad Hassan (now DNV) where he converted many engineering and mathematical concepts into production software including topics such as structural dynamics, aerodynamics, linearisation and numerical methods. Later, he moved onto lead the modelling development of a greenfield cloud-based wind farm simulator and other projects. With a robust knowledge of engineering maths, physics and scientific programming, Philip now takes the lead in the algorithms and numerical methods that lie behind Bitbloom’s systems and services, ensuring they are based on rigorous scientific principles.
Philip and Michael founded Simmovation Ltd in 2018 before joining with Staffan to found Bitbloom in 2019.
Michael Tinning
Co-FOUNDER
Michael is an experienced application software engineer and has spent his career building enterprise simulation and modelling platforms and user interfaces in the renewables and aerospace industries. His engineering background allows him to quickly understand complex problems and provide innovative solutions to the technology industries. He is also an experienced software consultant having led large teams to deliver high-profile projects to the financial services sector. Michael enables Bitbloom and our clients to respond to evolving business requirements by ensuring our systems are built to the correct quality on the tightest timescales, using the right technologies, processes and design.
Michael and Philip founded Simmovation Ltd in 2018 before joining with Staffan to found Bitbloom in 2019.
Asbjorn Klomp
Senior Analyst
Asbjørn has been part of the wind energy industry since he joined a major European owner/operator in 2013 as an analyst. In this role he worked extensively on operational analytics and quickly learned to identify and overcome the technical and organisational challenges involved in optimizing and increasing plant performance. Prior to entering industry, Asbjørn earned a PhD in Biomechanical Engineering, an MSc in Systems and Control and a BEng in Industrial Automation. This impressive academic background lends technical rigor and attention to detail in all his work.
Asbjørn joined Bitbloom in 2020 and provides a unique perspectives to help guide the development of plant performance and optimization systems. With his academic background combined with experience of working as an owner/operator, Asbjørn is ideally placed to help solve our customers’ most pressing problems.
